Buffelgrass spraying event on Dove Mountain, Wild Mustang trail. Stan Ross is leading the effort for cleaning up the fountain grass and buffelgrass in the Tortolitas.

This is not a BLM or Friends of Ironwood sponsored event. To volunteer contact Stan directly at:  [email protected]

Meet at the Wild Burro trail head, 14810 North Secret Springs Drive Marana AZ, at 8am.

For folks that take part in the spraying event, you will be spraying BG on the southern slopes of hills along the Wild Mustang trail heading west and just before the Cochie trail junction. Great scenery and beautiful area. Back pack sprayers are used and the hike from parking area to the BG site is about one mine. The slopes are steep and rocky. Let Stan or me know if you need the pump handle moved to accommodate left handed operation.

Volunteers must wear long pants, a long sleeved shirt and sturdy boots. Best to carry water in two bottles on a fanny pack. An orientation, snacks, and wash up materials afterwards are provided. Volunteers will experience awesome scenery during the event!
