June 2025 Rally for Public Lands

Celebrate the anniversary of the Antiquities Act and the 25th anniversary of Ironwood Forest National Monument on June 7th.

Date: Saturday, June 7, 2025
Time: 8:00 – 9:00 AM
Location: Waterman Peak Trail Parking Area, Ironwood Forest National Monument

Our Goal: To create strong visual messages for the media – and to send a clear message to decision-makers that Arizona stands united for public lands.

Coffee and light refreshments provided.
Bring: Water, a hat, and a homemade sign.
Wear: Your Friends of Ironwood Forest shirt or hat if you have one (otherwise purple and green are our logo colors)

We Love Ironwood Forest

Together, we can raise our voices and protect these wild and sacred spaces. Your presence matters.

Let’s show the country what Ironwood Forest means to Arizona.

DIRECTIONS

Use Google Map directions to get to the Waterman Peak Trail Parking Area

Basic Directions
Exit west at I-10 Avra Valley Road, exit 242
Drive west exactly 19.5 miles
Turn left immediately after the HOLCIM sign
Drive straight ahead about 1.2 miles, bearing left all the way
Meet at the 2nd turn out on your left (you’ll see other cars).
We’ll have volunteers there to help with parking.
